sniffwave request, a NOT operator

Reported by: paulf Owned by: somebody
Priority: major Milestone: All Platforms
Component: sniffwave Version: 8.0
Keywords: Cc:

Description

A user of sniffwave at the Earthworm class in San Francisco requests a new feature for sniffwave that is a not operator to any filter.....

So that say you had 5 networks data flowing through a ring and you wanted to see all of them except one, then they would like a way to say:

sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild wild NC wild n

and see all data that doesn't meet the filter params: wild wild NC wild

I'm not sure that's the syntax you want to use; the following would all be legal, I presume:

sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild wild NC wild
sniffwave WAVE_RING wild wild NC wild n
sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild NC wild n
sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild wild NC n
sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild NC wild
sniffwave WAVE_RING not wild NC n

Can you be sure what is meant by each of these?
